Helpful Car Care Tips

It is important to keep up the maintenance on your vehicle.  Not only will this extend the life of your vehicle, but it will also ensure safer operation.

Here are some quick, inexpensive tips that can pay off big in the long run:

• Be sure to check your oil levels regularly.  Get scheduled oil and filter changes as suggested by your owner's manual.

• Check ALL fluid levels in your vehicle regularly.  (brake, transmission, power steering, windshield wiper fluid.....)

• Keep your engine tuned up.  Regular maintenance is very important.  A small, inexpensive problem can turn into a large, expensive headache if you don't catch it early.

• Check the air in your tires.  Keep a tire guage in your vehicle and check air levels once a month.  Keeping tires properly inflated can help in fuel efficiency.

• Keep an eye on your windshield wipers.  If they look cracked or torn, replace them.  If they leave streaks when you turn them on, you should replace them.  Good working wipers can make driving in wet weather much safer.
